GTX Late File
The GTX late file contains the newest race day information, such as scratchings, track conditions, jockey changes and Tabcorp tips & late mail. This short video explains how to download the late File and automatically get that information into your GTX program.
- The Late File starts by 8 am daily, and then the scratchings come through at various times depending on the state.
- NSW and VIC's scratchings will generally be available in the Late File by 8.15 am.
- The Late File is updated every 30 minutes throughout the day until Australian racing is completed. You can continue downloading the Late File during the day to update GTX with any changes. (Note: if you download the meeting file more than once, any changes you've made to ratings/prices etc., will be wiped.)
- You can Scratch horses manually in GTX if you want to use the early Scratchings available from Racing Australia. If you need to scratch a runner manually, it is a simple matter of clicking on the TAB/Saddlecloth number to the left of the horse's name. To 'unscratch' a horse that was scratched in error, click the number button again.
- Particularly useful for WA races, if you have the QLD TAB Server turned on and move from race to race, this will scratch horses that are marked as Scratched on the QLD TAB Website before they become available in the updated Late file.
Sometimes after downloading the Late File in GTX, the information, such as track conditions, TAB tips, etc. is not refreshed. This is likely because the computer holds the Late File information in memory.
To solve this issue, close GTX, re-open, and redownload the Late File. Closing GTX at the end of each punting day should prevent this issue from occurring.
